Mayor Bob English called the meeting to order.

C.A.O. Leidgen conducted the roll call. A quorum of the Commission was present.

RECOGNITION OF GUESTS
No guests who wished to speak to the Commission were in attendance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Jackson requested that additional phrasing be added to the minutes of October 14, 2014. He then made the motion that the minutes be approved as amended. His motion was seconded by Mayor English. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT – Treasurer Bennett
Treasurer Bennett presented the monthly financial reports. He noted that approximately 97% of the City’s current year property taxes have been collected.
BUSINESS ITEMS
Municipal Order 14-18 Relating to Check Register Approvals for September 2014 Commissioner Dahlem moved approval of MO 14-18; his motion was seconded by Commissioner Hubbuch. Motion carried.
ATTORNEY’S REPORT – Attorney Singler
Attorney Singler reported the sale of the house in foreclosure on Parkington Court is scheduled for November 4.
He also reported that he has been talking with the attorney for the owner of 9101 Nottingham Parkway. The owner is requesting from the City a reduction in the amount of fines due. After a discussion, he was instructed to continue his collection efforts for the full amount and report back to the Commission.
ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT – C.A.O. Leidgen
C.A.O. Leidgen presented the Call Traffic Log and said there have been a number of calls regarding the new yard waste container requirements effective January 1, 2015.
MAYOR’S REPORT – Mayor English
Mayor English urged all residents to vote on Election Day.
CODE ENFORCEMENT/SANITATION REPORT – Commissioner Jackson
Commissioner Jackson said he will be working on the specifications for the new sanitation contract after the first of the year. He also said he would like to look at the possibility of collecting leaves at the curb and asked C.A.O. Leidgen to check into this.
PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT – Commissioner Hubbuch
Commissioner Hubbuch complimented the contractors who worked on the ADA sidewalks project and said they did a great job cleaning up after they were finished. Commissioner Hubbuch and C.A.O. Leidgen drafted a letter from the Commission to Metro Councilperson Marilyn Parker expressing appreciation to her and the Louisville Metro Council for their financial assistance with this project. The letter will be signed by the Mayor and mailed to Councilperson Parker as soon as possible.
The speed hump sign frames and posts on S. Lyndon Lane are installed and the project is complete.
Metro Police will be asked to increase their coverage in the City on Halloween night.
