The City of Hurstbourne Commission has entered into an interlocal agreement with the City of Lyndon for “first responder” police coverage. This means that when an emergency call to 911 is made within Hurstbourne, Lyndon Police are dispatched first to answer the call. Lyndon Police’s average response time to Hurstbourne is under 3 minutes. Their department consists of 27 uniformed officers and 2 detectives on staff. Lyndon Police also provide daily patrols of the city, and have created a House Watch Program that includes Hurstbourne. For more information about the department, please visit their site here.
