MINUTES –  SPECIAL CALLED MEETING

ROLL CALL
At 4:30 pm, C. C. C. A. O. Tyler Johnson conducted the roll call.  A quorum of the Commission was present.

The pledge of allegiance was led by Mayor Masick.

BUSINESS/ACTION ITEMS

APPROVAL OF ACH EXPENSES
C.A.O. Johnson noted that one expense in the General Government Department needed removed from the expense register before approval. Following review of the departmental ACH expenses, Commissioner Jackson made a motion to approve the payments for processing by the Financial Manager. Commissioner May seconded the motion, and the motion passed unanimously.

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF M.O. 25-28 – A MUNICIPAL ORDER RELATING TO THE AWARD OF 2025 PAVING CONTRACT

Following review of the letter of recommendation from City Engineer Crumpton regarding the city’s sealed bid paving process, Commissioner May made a motion to approve Municipal Order 25-28 to award the city’s paving bid to Libs Paving for the bid amount of $216,712.90. Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion, and the motion carried unanimously.

FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE 25-07 – ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FY26

C.A.O. Johnson explained to the Commission that $30,000 will be added to the Public Works budget to fully cover the total cost of the city’s paving project following awarding of the bid. Commissioner Jackson made a motion to introduce Ordinance 25-07 for First Reading. Commissioner Leavell seconded the motion. Voice roll call vote was taken – Mayor Masick; yea – Commissioner Jackson; yea – Commissioner Leavell; yea – Commissioner May; yea. Ordinance 25-07 was introduced with a 4-0 vote.

At 4:40 p.m. Commissioner Jackson made a motion for adjournment. His motion was seconded by Commissioner Leavell.  Motion carried unanimously.
