Conditions of Automobiles and Parking in Hurstbourne

No vehicle shall be parked within the city that violates the following conditions:

 

Expired license plate

No insurance coverage

Rusted or wrecked condition

Partially dismantled or non-functional condition

Junked condition

Parking on City Streets

City Parking Ordinance states that it is unlawful to park vehicles on City streets at any time. The only exception to on street parking is at Wessex Place.

 

Residents that own or operate vehicles with business advertising signs affixed to such vehicles may not park on the street and must utilize a garage or keep out of sight from the traveled portion of the street.

Parking a vehicle displayed for sale is prohibited.

No commercial-type vehicle, boat, boat trailer, recreational vehicle (RV), bus, mobile home, trailer, camper, tractor, or part of such vehicle shall be parked or stored on any property zoned single-family residential or on the side of any street in the city.

Both the registered owner of an illegally parked vehicle and the owner of the property where such vehicle is parked, shall be responsible, should legal action be taken.
